May 26th • Ages 6-12 • Fine Arts Lessons • Picasso Portraits with bleeding tissue paper

In this class, we will create our own "masterpieces" inspired by Pablo Picasso's Portrait of Dora Maar. We will learn about his many inspirations and his love for breaking down ordinary objects and even people into tinier shapes with lots of pattern! Together, we will look through some of Pablo Picasso's portraits and see what inspires us! We will start by sketching the portrait from different perspectives in different color sharpies. Instead of watercolors this week, we will be using bleeding tissue paper to give us some beautiful shapes with lots of color! It will be so much fun to see what colors you get once you peel the dried bleeding tissue paper off!
